Alternative bar was named after the Seattle band, but indeed has a very nice garden as well. Grunge and alternative sounds with a crowd to match. Lots of games: pool, darts, pinball, chess, backgammon to name a few. Attractive terrace in the back, overlooking the Singelgracht canal.

Cocktail bar by owners of famed Jimmy Woo. Interior is an eclectic mix of Parisian and far East ingredients, aimed at creating a shabby/chic nightclub type atmosphere. A favorite spot of course for the hip & trendy.

Amsterdam's most popular squatters bar in one of the last large squatters bastions. Cheap drinks and loud music pretty well sums it up. Disco every Saturday night. Ring the doorbell to get in.

Weber is a narrow split level bar with a fashionable mix-and-match interior; Art Deco lighting, tile mosaics and walls clad with furs. Youngish public, popular place for a drink after visiting one of the surrounding Leidseplein cinemas or theaters. Gets crowded during weekends.
