De Kas
Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3 (462 45 62) [tram 9, stop Kamerlingh Onneslaan] Situated slightly out of city center in Frankendael park in the former city nursery. Chef Gert-Jan Hageman rebuild the greenhouse complex into his own dream restaurant, with a kitchen based on organic ingredients, where possible taken from the greenhouses surrounding his restaurant. The menu is best characterised by the unique preparation of ordinary vegetables, like roast carrots and basil marinated endive. Wonderful spacious and airy interior, as you might expect from a full-size greenhouse, with sturdy but elegant furniture. During summer De Kas has a large outside terrace, surrounded by a herb garden and orchard.

Supper Club
Jonge Roelensteeg 21 (344 64 00). map
supperclubinside.jpg (9357 bytes)
A trendy three-in-one; restaurant, bar and lounge. In the restaurant on the first floor you can enjoy a meal on the wild side: the Supper Club offers thematic dinners, with the interior and menu in harmony with the subject. For example, you could find yourself in downtown Naples with the laundry hanging from the ceiling, or you could be in a sophisticated Paris Salon. As they say: 'In the Supper Club you take of your shoes, lay down and you're at home!' As you might expect, this is a cuisine with a good share of humour. Apart from being the most popular days, Fridays and Saturdays are also the most spectacular with live music and DJ's.
Open daily 8pm-close.
Reservations necessary.
