Amsterdam's 4-deck floating hotel is moored on the north shore of river IJ, so there's quite a bit of water between you and city center, but a free shuttle bus and free river ferry are available. Though some find it romantic and adventurous, the Botel very much resembles a cross-channel ferry, with the same small cabins and narrow corridors. Nonetheless the rooms are clean and modern, and the riverside rooms have an attractive view. Free in-house movie channel. Elevator.
